Do not move the vehicles until authorized by a Mexican authority officer or an insurance company representative.
Report your accident as soon as possible and before leaving Mexican territory. Call the claims number immediately.
Have your policy number ready. A bilingual representative will assist you and request your policy and accident details.
Do NOT accept any payment from other parties involved without first consulting the insurance company.
Document the incident with photos and notes. Even with minor injuries, the case may be referred to a state authority office — a lawyer will be assigned to assist you legally.
Report your accident before returning to the U.S.
